Extender oils for silicone sealants
Mineral oils are an excellent option for formulators searching to reduce formulation costs and deliver improved performance characteristics to their products. Extremely pure products are however required, as any aromatics can create problems in the finished formulation such as shrinkage and yellowing.
The characteristics of the Solvardis range of products (ultra low levels of aromatics, a narrow boiling range and stable flash point) enable formulators of silicone sealant to achieve reduced formulation costs and improved performance whilst not compromising on the quality of the end product being formulated.
